Guided by the Industrial Development Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, hosted by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and organized by the Taiwan Mold Industrial Association, the "2025 Mold Industry Trends Seminar" was held at the Taipei International Mold & Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Show. The seminar provided in-depth insights into smart manufacturing and digital transformation.

As the foundation of Taiwan's manufacturing industry, the mold sector must integrate emerging technologies to maintain competitiveness amid global supply chain changes – a key theme explored throughout the event.
Roders Taiwan General Manager Lin Sheng-Ping shared innovative applications of German precision machining, highlighting how automation and high-end equipment are crucial for adding value.
Feng Chun International General Manager Chen You-Wei introduced conformal cooling channel design and 3D printing technologies that break through traditional limitations, helping optimize cooling, shorten cycle times, and improve product quality.
Finally, Professor Ko Kun-Cheng from National Taiwan Normal University emphasized the importance of data analysis and smart applications in enhancing process efficiency, predictive maintenance, and smart factory development.

The seminar not only provided international perspectives and the latest technological trends but also highlighted both challenges and opportunities facing Taiwan’s mold industry. Continued industry-academia collaboration and the adoption of emerging technologies will be essential for Taiwan to maintain a competitive edge in the global wave of smart manufacturing.
