Federation of Asian Die & Mould Associations (FADMA)
Established in September 1992, FADMA is the only international organization for the mold and die industry in Asia. It comprises member associations from nine Asian countries/regions. Its mission is to advance the development of Asia's mold industrypromote regional trade cooperation, and strengthen technical exchange and collaboration.

2024 FADMA Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Held in Seoul, South Korea, on March 11, 2025. Attendees included:

  • Philippine Die & Mould Association (PDMA, Inc. – FADMA Chair)
  • Hong Kong Mould & Die Council (HKMDC – FADMA Vice Chair)
  • Korea Die & Mold Industry Cooperative (KODMIC – FADMA Secretariat)
  • China Die & Mould Industry Association (CDMIA)
  • Japan Die & Mould Industry Association (JaDMA)
  • Malaysia Sheet Metal Tooling Association (MSTMA)
  • India Tool & Gauge Manufacturers Association (TAGMA)
  • Thai Tool & Die Industry Association (TDIA)
  • Taiwan Mold & Die Industry Association (TMDIA)

Earlier that day, FADMA delegates attended the opening ceremony of INTERMOLD KOREA as honoured guests.

Key Meeting Outcomes:

  1. Hong Kong (HKMDC) presented a test version of FADMA’s dedicated website, showcasing its structure and requesting member input to enrich content.
  2. China (CDMIA) proposed a framework for the previously discussed initiative: "Implementing Asian Mold Industry Standards."

Post-Meeting Activity (March 12):
Delegates visited KODMIC's training facilities, where South Korea’s mold talent development strategy was detailed. Key challenges:

  • Low national birthrate restricts workforce growth.
  • Annual mold industry graduates (university/vocational): ≈750.
  • Industry retention rate: ~50%.
  • Countermeasure: Foreign labor recruitment with specialized training through KODMIC programs to mitigate industry demographic decline.
