Details

【Pioneering Heavy Industry, Forging a Smart Future】

Founded in 1947, Lien Chieh Machinery (LCM) has proudly served the industry for 79 years. As Taiwan’s leading manufacturer of press and forging equipment, the company remains committed to the principles of “integrity, diligence, and practicality,” advancing Taiwan’s manufacturing resilience to world-class standards.

During this visit, the production facility was opened to the public for the first time, offering attendees a firsthand look at customized precision engineering ranging from 50 tons to 15,000 tons. As the manufacturing sector navigates the critical challenges of digital and net-zero transformation, LCM has spent years strengthening its capabilities in smart manufacturing and energy-saving systems. This event was not just a factory tour, but a deep-dive platform for industry-wide upgrading.

【Key Highlights】

  • Peak Domestic Forging – Exclusive insight into the R&D journey of Taiwan’s first 12,000-ton aluminum alloy wheel forging machine (manufactured in 2009).
  • Top-Tier Machining Lineup – Close-up viewing of the PAMA horizontal boring and milling machine, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries CNC equipment, and Taiwan’s largest annealing furnace (160 tons).
  • Diverse Application Landscape – Overview of the latest pressing solutions for PCB boards, composite materials (SMC), sheet metal forming, and servo presses.
  • Smart Energy Efficiency Achievements – Discussion on how intelligent systems reduce energy consumption and enhance productivity, achieving a win-win between sustainability and output growth.

With an insightful presentation and guided tour led by Factory Manager Du, this visit provided attending companies with invaluable learning experiences. Our sincere thanks to LCM for their generous industry knowledge sharing.
