In order to formulate the roadmap for local precision tooling industry to advance towards world-class manufacturing, Federation of Hong Kong Industries launched the project “Adoption of world-class technology benchmarking mechanisms for precision tooling industry and formulate advancement roadmap” with the support of government funding, entrusted by WBA Aachener Werkzeugbau Akademie (WBAAWA) of Germany and Hong Kong Productivity Council. The symposium was successfully held on 1 March 2022 and attracted nearly 100 participants.

At the symposium, two WBAAWA experts and senior consultants from HKPC summarised how the local precision tooling industry improve their technology and management process, production process, operational efficiency, and parts accuracy to world-class standard. Representatives of 4 pilot companies also shared with participants their operational enhancement under this project.
