Federation of Hong Kong Industries (“FHKI”) launched the project “To Promote the Technical Competency of Hong Kong Precision Mould and Plastic Component Manufacturing Industry” with the support of Trade and Industrial Organisation Support Fund (“TSF”), implemented by Hong Kong Productivity Council in 2021. First phase of the project, CHINAPLAS 2023, was held from 17-20 April 2023 at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center with an overwhelming success.
This year, Hong Kong Pavilion carried the theme of “Empowering Product Quality with Advanced Moulding & Innovative Technology”. Apart from the 100sqm top up area supported by government funding, FHKI Group 14 (Hong Kong Mould & Die Council) (“HKMDC”) joined hands with 7 member companies in showcasing the latest edge-cutting technologies with more than 100 pieces of precision moulding products and plastic parts displayed, also providing a communal area to facilitate exchange and business matching between exhibitors and potential buyers. Besides, seminars on “Precision Processing and Manufacturing" and "Liquid Silicone Rubber Industry Chain" were also organised to attract visitors.
In addition, HKMDC was invited by the organiser, Adsale, to host a symposium on “Empowering Product Quality with Advanced Moulding & Innovative Technology” on 19 April. 7 heavy-weighted units were invited to share and discuss the latest advanced moulding technologies and its implementation details, as well as the future trend of the industry covering subjects such as “Industry 4.0 - Case Studies”, “Application of Precision Laser Texturing in Various Industries” and “Domestic Industrial Software: Conception & Practice”. The symposium was attended by over 300 participants who were highly engaged and enthusiastic about the topics discussed.
