Amid the nationwide spread of COVID-19, the Korea Mold Industry Cooperative has urgently distributed hand sanitizers to all 530 member companies to support infection prevention and crisis management.
On February 28 (Friday), the cooperative decided to implement emergency relief for the mold industry’s COVID-19 prevention efforts. It secured 5,500 bottles of hand sanitizer (500ml each) and provided 10 bottles per company free of charge to all 530 members.
The cooperative stated: "As the mold industry—already struggling with domestic market slumps and export slowdowns—faces even greater hardship due to COVID-19, we supplied hand sanitizers to offer some support to our members." It added, "We will continue actively supporting the mold industry to overcome challenges posed by the pandemic."
Additionally, the cooperative has implemented an emergency response system to address member difficulties. It disseminates prevention guidelines and government support measures to all members and employees.
