The Korea Mold Industry Cooperative (www.koreamold.com) has elected Shin Yong-moon (辛容文, age 64), CEO of Silla Engineering Co., Ltd., as its 14th Chairman. At the 41st Regular General Assembly held on April 8 (Wednesday) at the Mold Technology Training Institute in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, the cooperative unanimously appointed Shin Yong-moon, CEO of Silla Engineering Co., Ltd., as its new Chairman.

Shin Yong-moon, who serves as CEO of Silla Engineering Co., Ltd. (based in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do; www.sillaeng.co.kr)—a leading South Korean press mold manufacturer—has significantly contributed to export diversification, press mold technology, and advancements in automotive technology.

In his inaugural address, Chairman Shin stated: "Assuming the role of Chairman during this critical period—as our mold industry faces challenges from shifting global market conditions and the spread of COVID-19—I feel a profound sense of mission and responsibility. Together with all members, I will strive to help Korea’s mold industry, a core foundational sector, wisely overcome this crisis and leap forward as a world-class mold powerhouse."
